Victor Harbor Horse Drawn Tram - Horsehoeing

The Clydesdale horses are re-shod each 3 months because their hooves have grown and need to be cleaned and trimmed. The farrier is an artisan whose skill is fascinating to watch. The horses are usually shod at the work stables next to the tram station. It is a fascinating spectacle that always draws a large crowd and is usually scheduled for weekends and holidays. The horses don't seem to mind at all, as if they know they'll feel better in new shoes. Afterwards, both young and old enjoy feeding carrots to the horse whose turn it was to be re-shod that day. Stars: Bud the Farrier and Skye.
