BJ Coop joined the Horse Drawn Tramway in early 2010. He came from Coopers' Clydesdales at Oakbank, South Australia. in the 1860s, Thomas Cooper delivered his popular ales and stouts by horse and cart. Cart delivery stopped in the 1920s, but the Coopers Brewery continue the tradition by keeping a team of Clydesdale horses for show at special events. BJ stands 19 hands tall and is the biggest horse ever on the tramway. He adapted nicely to his new home in the 100 acre pasture and to the other members of the growing herd. This clip is of his first day at the Causeway stable and his first view of the sea and first walk on a beach. He was fascinated by the seaweed, water and waves. |
