Victor Harbor Horse Drawn Tram - Birthday 2009
In the Southern Hemisphere, the 1st of August is the official birthday for all horses. The City of Victor Harbor celebrates this with a party for the Clydesdales of the Horse Drawn Tramway. The party is usually held in the reserve next to the work stables. The festivities include face-painting for the children, a petting zoo of young animals, pony rides, horseshoeing demonstration and a giant carrot cake! The Mayor of Victor Harbor, Mary-Lou Corcoran, officiates and cuts the cake - and why not? It is her birthday too! Everyone is welcome, so check the website for details and come along next year.
