Victor Harbor Horse Drawn Tram - Birthday 2008
In the Southern Hemisphere, the 1st of August is the official birthday for all horses. The City of Victor Harbor celebrates this with a party for the Clydesdales of the Horse Drawn Tramway. The party is usually in the reserve next to the work stables, but if the weather is inclement, it is held in the huge glass showcase "Tram Barn" 200 metres away. If the 1st falls on a weekday, a small celebration is held for the press, residents, visitors, staff and the volunteers. Then on the next Saturday a bigger celebration, with activities and attractions for the children to enjoy, is also held.
